A downloadable game for Windows

THE STORY

Many, many light years away from Earth exists Planet Phantom, a planet populated with many strange creatures, ways of life, and landscapes. The Rainbow Flower singlehandedly holds together the peace and goodwill on the planet, and for many years, it has been undisturbed from its glass case... that is, until the dastardly Dr. Mouse decided to steal it for his own personal gain. With the flower in his hands, Dr. Mouse had almost immediately turned the planet into a nightmarish wasteland, and the entire planet drowned in fear and darkness. All was lost... or so they thought, as Q-Boy had immediately jumped into action to defeat Dr. Mouse! Do you have what it takes to take back the Rainbow Flower and restore peace to Planet Phantom?

FURTHER DETAILS

This is a remake of the video game, Q-Boy, which was originally developed and published in 1994 by the company Thin Chen Enterprise Co. Ltd/Sachen exclusively for the Nintendo Entertainment System. This remake is not a 1:1 conversion of the original game, and there are many areas where modifications are found, either because I couldn't replicate them exactly, or they are supposed to be ease-of-life changes.

A true remake of one of Sachen's best done right!

LOOK AT MY EYES AND ANSWER ME, IS MARIO MODE INCLUDED IN THIS

The Mario mode isn't included, but pressing the space button whilst the game is paused does let you play through the remake as the original Q-Boy sprite. I was considering implementing it at some point during development, but the closer I got to the end, the more I just wanted to wrap up development as soon as possible.

dang that's a shame can't blame you tho, this game seems like it was exausting to make

Interesting...

I might be capable of working with the graphics (similar artstyle, but cleaner-looking), music (tools used for that are unknown) and/or sound effects at some point if approved to do so, since all 3 still need some work.

Still enjoyable either way.
